The Invisible

I'm really interested to see what David Goyer does with this movie. I thought he did a great job with the screenplay for Batman Begins. I like the idea that will play on teenagers feeling invisible.

Yeah, I haven't seen it, but I've heard good things about it. Hopefully this will follow in the trend of good foreign suspense thrillers converted to good American movies.

bump

I saw the trailer for this film when I saw 300. It looked quite good, and it's coming out this month.

The plotline I heard from an interview this mroning on the radio made it sound very similar to a screenplay plot I came up with years ago. That's like 2 of my ideas shot because soemone else ended up doing soemthign close to it. Bummer. Mine sounded better though. I might check this out as a rental.

Goyer has helped write some great screenplays in his time, but his directing on Blade Trinity was some of the worst of that year.

I had heard that Blade got taken out of Goyers hands, so I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. The Invisible sucked. It is not the movie they are advertising at all (that movie I thought looked cool, about solving your own murder case - this movie has NOTHING TO SOLVE). Boring, self indulgent and downright laughable at times. I couldn't understand the actions of a few characters at all, especially the best friend. He could have ended the 'suspense' (used extremely loosely - about as suspensful as watching paint dry) but didn't... Just a total wash IMO with some pretty bad performances and terrible pacing.

This movie has a big fat 0% on RT so far, and I haven't heard a single good thing about it from anyone else either.

More importantly, What will be worse?

Next
The Condemned
The Invisible
Kickin' It Old Skool

I don't think there has been a harder question in the history of film.

Yeah, I felt pretty deceived by this flick. The trailer made it look pretty cool...but here's the interesting part. That old man in the trailer? He and all his lines are completely cut from the movie! There's also no mystery for him to solve, he knows who "killed" him. Ugh...
