Great guy, Rest In Peace.

Man, 71, seems so young in a way, even if he had some diseases.

Sad news indeed. He did so much great work: Joe, The Friends of Eddie Coyle, The Candidate, Young Frankenstein, Taxi Driver, Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose (a great ep of The X-Files), Everybody Loves Raymond, and probably a lot of other stuff I missed out on. Definitely one of the most notable character actors of the last thirty years.

He'll be missed.

I think I'll dig out that episode of X-Files. He won the Emmy for that one.

I'll also add The Dream Team to my to-buy list.

I'm sure most people will remember him for either Everybody Loves Raymond or Young Frankenstein, but I'll always remember him most for undressing in a black church in The Dream Team.

RIP

R.I.P. I always get a lump when I see someone that I knew from their work.

I first saw Joe at a midnight movie when I was 17 in 1974. Haven't seen it since. First time I can remember seeing Boyle. To this day no matter what I see him in I can't get past the image of him as a redneck who murders hippies. It's always there on my mind no matter what movie/show I'm watching him in.
It's not just him. I can't watch Steve Railsback in anything without seeing Charles Manson.

Young Frankenstein is STILL one of the funniest movies ever.

RIP Peter. You made me laugh until I had tears... now I just have tears

Mr. Moon or Jacko Dundee are the two characters I remember him most for.

Darn. I didn't expect this at all. He was the main reason I watched [B]Everybody Loves Raymond[/b} straight to the end of the series.
