if they wanted to do a real war games sequel they should have made the sum of all fears a lot better and more like Tom Clancy originally wrote it

Sounds like they might as well call it Hackers 2 IMHO. I guess on the other hand if they made/released it under a completely different name people would be calling War Games 2 anyway ;) Overall it sounds pretty lame and it probably shouldn't be made, which probably means it'll be a huge blockbuster -ptth-

It's direct-to-DVD, so chances are it will be pretty lousy. This is part of a string of Sony direct-to-DVD titles that will be coming in 2007. So think "Road House 2" and "Cutting Edge 2" (released in 2006 by Sony)

They should get the Rock to play Joshua.

it's gonna suck big time, but i am hoping it will lead to a better dvd release of the original. wargames is one of my favorite movies.
