DVD Talk review of 'How to Eat Fried Worms'
I read Eric D. Snider's DVD review of How to Eat Fried Worms at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=23417 and...I read Eric D. Snider's DVD review of How to Eat Fried Worms at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=23417 and...shame on him!!
Quote "But honestly, young females aren't going to be interested in a movie about worm-eating anyway."
REALLY?! Pulleeze with your stereotyping already.
He was not interested in the least in reading the book (and he is an avid reader), "Not my type of book, Mom”. The only reason my son is so excited to see this movie is that it's from one of his Mom’s favorite childhood books and he can't wait to take me to it, even offering to pay with his own allowance. His sister is even more excited to see her favorite "pet" on screen, second only to snails.
Yes, I’m glad to see a movie that does, for the most part, target boys, but let’s not forget our “tomboys”.
Signed,
Still practicing Tomboy

I liked the book, many years ago. This movie sounds terrible. 10 worms in one day? I thought the book had it drug out to a month, with a worm a day. Something along those lines. I guess that's where the "loosely" comes into play.
