Classic comedy exchange: Which movie is it from?

Which movie/s is this classic exchange from?

it goes something like this:

Lawyer: "Would you describe the defendant as a dishonest person?"
witness: "Well, OK if you want me to"

That sounds like a Marx Brothers routine, but I can't think which movie.

Not so sure it's Marx Bros. The only court scene that comes to mind would be from Duck Soup and I don't think it's from there. However, now it's going to make me nuts until I figure it out.

Definitely not Brain Donors. I've seen that at least 40 times.

Not to mention there's not even a courtroom scene in Brain Donors.

Sounds like something from "From the Hip", but I don't remember that exact scene. Then again, I haven't seen "From the Hip" in 10 or 15 years.

In the Groove Tube there was a court room spoof ("Do you know what the penal code is in this state?") Could it have come from that?

The only thing that came up on IMDB is this from Red Dwarf
Kryten: [about Rimmer] Would you describe the accused as a friend?
The Cat: Take the Fifth!
Kryten: Now, sir, if you can give an honest answer. You are under polygraphic surveillance. Would you describe the accused as a friend?
Lister: No, I describe the accused as a git.
but their quote search feature is not the best in the world...
