Red Lights (Feux rouges)

Red Lights focuses on two characters, Antoine and Hélène, who are about to drive to the south of France to pick up their children from summer camp. The roads are packed with heavy holiday traffic so they want to leave early. They agree to meet in a bar but Hélène is running late, which Antoine is annoyed by. So he calms himself down with a drink. Then another drink. Then another drink ..... They hit the road but the traffic, hot weather, and alcohol, causes the two to bicker and for Antoine to stop off at yet another bar ..... Events begin to spiral ......

This is an exceptional film that delivers masterful storytelling and suspense. The way the film slowly builds the audience's expectations is phenomenal. The small cast are wonderous, particularly Jean-Pierre Darroussin who plays Antoine to perfection.

I absolutely adored this film. I expected it to be good but was stunned at just how fantastic it was and how quickly it drew me in to the characters.
