Horrible miscast voice-acting?

I'm watching Tarzan and having a big issue w/ Rosie O'Donnell.. Both the voicing and the way they draw her character to resemble her (that in general bothers me).

Got others?

I didn't really have a problem with O'Donnell...but I am getting tired of Patrick Warburton, who seems to be a voice in every. freakin. animated. movie.

In the early 30's when Walt Disney convinced Hitler to appear in a series of shorts about "Adolf the Rabbit."

Although it still worked great I always thought that Michelle Pfeifer and Catherine Zeta Jones should have switched characters in the Sinbad cartoon.

Just about everyone in Heavy Metal 2000. Halfway through the movie, I just switched to the french audio track. Much more tolerable.

yet, Brad Pitt's glaringly obvious voice was terribly miscast as Sinbad

That was too obvious to pick on.

oh and all the voices for the live action English language dub of Roberto Benigni's 'Pinocchio' - now that was cringe inducing - oi!

There are certain times where I don't care for Adam West's voice in The Batman: animated series. If it were to be a film(s), I wasn't too keen on some of the early Miyazaki films dubbed in english.

I prefer the first English dub of Miyazaki's 'My Neighbor Totoro' to the new one actually.

I didn't care for the voice cast in Princess Mononoke...especially Billy Bob Thornton.

There's some new CGI animated coming out featuring a bunch of milk cows. The problem is, they're all voiced by men.

I thought Bonnie Hunt was horribly out of place as the young, "hot" sportscar in Cars.

Bonnie Hunt wasn't as bad as Owen Wilson, who sounded about as excited to be in the movie as a guy reading from a dictionary. They should have flipped his role with Michael Keaton, who actually brought some life to his character, if only for the 5 minutes of screen time he had. Wilson felt like a very "Dreamworksy" choice to star and I think Disney was just going for the "name."

Billy Bob ruins the dub for me. I typically watch it subbed any way, but he was still a terrible choice.

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I'm not surprised at those comments. I thought Keaton did a swell job as Porco Rosso.

While I can understand your point, as a huge Bonnie Hunt fan I'll just say that in the scenes I checked out it still worked for me.

Actually, Rosie just happens to look like a gorilla. It wasn't intended.

I'm beyond sick of "names" being cast in animated features. My former roommate would love sitting and trying to pick out the actor behind the voice, while I was more interested in enjoying the character. As a former radio guy who would love to do voice acting, I am dismayed that these people don't know how to voice act and that there aren't better coaches to teach them.

I'm in Radio and I know lotsa folks who do voicework and I remember one friend telling me around 5 or 6 years ago that there was a time when big name actors considered voicework beneath them. But that has changed and you're having to compete with huge names to get voice work even for commercials where you never see the star or any credits that say who the vox belongs to.

Voice work can be great if you nail it. I mean you can set up a studio at home, send your voice all over creation, and get paid BIG BUCKS to do just a few hours of work. Video games are seeing a huge bump in Big name talent and the need for talented voices for supporting characters. Even on imdb.com you see lots of actors who do almost nothing but Video games with animation work sprinkled in.
