I thought so too, especially since I got to keep the glasses.

But then I wondered if I went for a second time, and brought the glasses, would they charge me extra again? Probably! :D

They're showing this in 3-D by me. I'm not exactly dying to see the film but the fact it's in 3-D and I don't know when I'll get the chance to see a movie in 3-D again so I'll take the bait.

THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS opens in 3-D on October 20.

The extra cost is likely to help pay for the very expensive digital projectors that the theatre chains are installing. Those things are not cheap!

I live in Toronto and this movie stopped playing by the time I got around to wanting to see it and when it WAS playing, it was only shown flat in downtown theatres. Apparently, if you have any interest in seeing a 3-D film, you have to take a day trip to one of the gigantic suburban googleplexes outside of city limits. (groan)

Arundel Mills in Hanover, MD

In addition, I received a response from someone in charge, and they told me that ALL 3-D presentations will carry a higher ticket price. While I hold firm to the fact that I paid matinee prices for Chicken Little (and I offered scans of my tickets as proof), he repeatedly said that I paid more.

While I have no problem paying extra for the glasses, I do have a problem of them charging non-matinee prices for all shows.

Any way -- I still plan to see future 3-D releases - I'll just have to really think hard about taking the family.
