28 Weeks Later - May 11th, 2007
This film begins filming in August and will be released in May 2007 by Fox Searchlight. As far as I know, there won't be any returning cast members from the first film.

Danny Boyle attached to direct?
|
The director is Juan Carlos Fresnadillo.
This is the plot outline from IMDB: "Britain has been emptied. There's nobody there. It's completely dead. And six months later the Americans arrive to reboot it back up again. But, of course, something goes wrong... " |

Not sure how I feel about changing directors... The style was half the fun of 28 Days Later.
That said, was Intacto any good? Always wanted to see it. |

Hmmm ... no Boyle, huh? Well <i>that</i> dampened my enthusiasm very quickly.

Unless I hear some really bad things about this, I’m there. I ended up buying Intacto after one rental and gots no regrets. Of course, while the script for Intacto was it’s shining star, the director was definitely no Uwe Boll.
|
lame switch. I want my erotic chin nibbling forum.
|
I finished watching Intacto again. Danny Boyle is a fool compared to this guy. I watched, trying to distill the direction from how much I liked the script. Breeeeee-illiant!
The visuals, the segues…Christ! I can’t wait. (so is this new forum consigning people that like horror movies to the same Hell as people that like books?) |
A renter for me.
|
No Boyle and no Cillian Murphy = no point.
I do think that Boyle and Andrew McDonald are attached as producers of some sort. |
If it has zombie-like non-zombies (speedy or not), I'm so there!

I am not excited about this movie. 28 Days Later was amazing as a standalone film and does not need a sequel. Especially one that, from what I have heard, sounds like a retread of the first movie, but with American accents. Dumb.
|
Anybody know if they will be shooting on DV again?

They're still in Britain at the end, but they are spotted by a Jet flying over within the final seconds of the film, so one is to assume that they were rescued.

Partial cast list:
Jeremy Renner, Harold Perrineau, Robert Carlyle (cool!), Catherine McCormack, and Rose Byrne. Lots more info. |
28 WEEKS LATER - Trailer online - May 11th, 2007
I think this looks great!
http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox_at...ter/index.html I did like the way that in 28 Days Later you're forced to learn of this destroyed world along with Jim, since he wakes up weeks after it happened...but with this one we'll actually get to see it all happening as it starts up again, which is something I also think could be very interesting to see. |
I heard of this coming out but didn't follow it. No Boyle? :( Fox "Atomic" handling it? (It makes me think they'll "extreme" it up from that title).
<s>The trailer doesn't load for me. I'll try it in a few hours.</s> Trailer loaded. Looks decent. I'll wait on reviews for this one. |
Trailer won't load for me. I even tried reinstalling Quicktime and it still just comes up with a question mark when the trailer tries to load.
|
I can't get the trailer to load, but I loved the first one and look forward to this.
