But you could have mentioned the 10th anniversary of the FantAsia Film Festival (July 6th - 24th). It isn't in the US, but it is after all the most important festival of it's kind (horror, sci-fi, fantasy, animation) in North America.
It has not only featured a number of international and north american premieres in the past (Visitor Q, The Nameless, Anatomy, Airbag, Session 9, etc...) but it's also a great place to discover new and exciting horror fare from around the world.
