Went and saw it today and i'm starting to get a little worried about this bet.
I still think i'll win, but like he last poster said, it's going to be close.
I actually really liked it, but i can see how its not as captivating as the first one.

I wouldn't be as confident as most here.
Word of mouth about the ending of PotC2 could put a damper on the BO.
No spoilers, but the ending could be very disappointing to many people. I haven't even seen a sneak preview and I know (and hate) the ending.
But I'll see it anyway. I missed the seeing PotC in a theater.

I don't know. I just saw pirates (had to do my part to help you win)
i personally loved this movie. i don't know how you could lose, unless the grinch steals all theaters' reels in the next week.

from imdb:
1. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006)
$132M Weekend
$132M Total
2. Superman Returns (2006)
$21.9M Weekend
$142M Total
I think we know the answer to the question. You may collect at anytime.

i think they should have run a superman trailer at pirates of the caribbean. this is generally not done (trailers showing for a movie thats out), but think about it. it could be a good idea.

At this point, I think it's safe to say you'll lose this bet. Pirates 2 may very well be the biggest bomb of the year, and they're already making a sequel? Pssh.
