I am aware of the ending but there are movies that I have watched where genres were combined where it worked. It was a really good effort I thought.

I liked "Dream Cruise" especially because of the ghosts. I think that the film editing concept was pretty congruent with the storyline. Maybe there will be more Japansese-style horror in the next season.

Dream Cruise was easily my favorite of the season. Stylish, well-acted, and actually somewhat scary. The plot may have been really obvious and a rehash of half the Japanese Horror movies out there, but it was well done and had a cool setting (I like the claustrophobic boat idea). Really up and down season but at least it went out with a big bang.

Well worth the wait for a season box. I just finished all and it was absolutely amazing!

Just by seeing the season 2 out on dvd in most stores... I cant wait to get my hand on the season 2 boxset (which most probably out around Aug 2008-bummer)

Top3 for me for Season 1 would be

Cigarette Burns
Imprint
Jenifer

^^^ I got the Season One Box Set & count me in as another who likes the series & can’t wait for the Season Two Box Set.

I’m watching 1 episode a day & all the bonus features on the disc (1 disc a day) & so far I’ve seen Incident On and Off a Mountain Road, H.P. Lovecraft's Dreams in the Witch-House, Dance of the Dead, Jenifer, Chocolate Homecoming, Deer Woman, Cigarette Burns & Fair Haired Child. I’ve enjoyed all of em’ thus far. Definitely some of the best Horror/Thriller stories put on screen in the past 5-10 years.

Still need to watch Sick Girl, Pick Me Up, Haeckel’s Tale & Imprint. I’ll rank em’ after I finish watching the set.

I originally said Pro-Life, but I have to say now that "The Black Cat" is by far my favorite this season.

Re: Masters of Horror

What does Mask Head have to do with the cancelled Masters of Horror series?

Re: Masters of Horror

Scott Swan, who co-wrote John Carpernter's Cigarette Burns," is writing and directing Mask-Head based on his work with the Masters of Horror series.
