Help! What movie is this cap from?

It was released in 2003, but that's the only clue I got from my friend who's trying to stump me.

UPDATE more clues (and let's stay to the topic please):

1) Not Groundhog Day or Ferris Bueler, remember, it's
2) released in 2003
3) Takes place in a Casino city, Vegas or Atlantic City, not sure
4) Filmed in 2.35 to 1 ratio

UPDATED and ANSWER

I don't know, but you can retaliate with this

Spoiler:
Four Weddings and a Funeral, although you may want to change the filename

How about this one?

Spoiler:
The time shown is sort of a give away

I don't think it is the Machinist because the movie has a blue tint to it.

Not sure what movie it is -- that looks like Arabic on the beer can next to the alarm clock, and it looks like the condom wrappers are not one of your standard American brands -- if that helps at all. Good luck!

Hooray me! That's the first "name this screencap" that I've ever gotten right!

Oh, except for this one. I knew this one, too:

When I looked at it, I immediately thought Memento. No idea why or if that could even be close to right though.

No, the clock in Memento wasn't digital, and it was round and wooden. I did as comprehensive a Google image search as I could and didn't find a screencap...and I'm too lazy to take one myself, but that's not the clock.

Who cares about the clock? I can get 20% off at KarmaLoop!

JPRaup 06-21-06 10:57 AM

the Cooler?
Matchstick men?

TheAllPurposeNothing 06-21-06 11:05 AM

Not sure if it makes a difference, but if you look at the image large size, the hand is reaching for something else on the table (perhaps a ring or something) with either the letters IKO or IXO in view.

Gotta feeling that may be a bigger help in determining the source of the film than the clock.

JPRaup 06-21-06 11:34 AM

Owning Mahowny?

Anubis2005X 06-21-06 11:41 AM

One Last Ride? If I got it right I thank Google...

TheAllPurposeNothing 06-21-06 11:45 AM

My guess is that Jordan's right.

The counter the $100 is sitting on looks a lot like a bank counter seen in other photos on IMDB. Add to that that the film was partly shot in Atlantic City with a 2.35:1 AR makes it sound like a winner.

UKingdom 06-21-06 01:50 PM

Sorry guys, I've been told it's not Owning Mahowny or Cooler.

JPRaup 06-21-06 03:55 PM

Is it Identity? I don't think it takes place in any of the cities you mentioned, though.

UKingdom 06-21-06 05:45 PM

just added another cap
