Fear (1996) Appreciation Thread

I've always thought this was the best of the Fatal Attraction rip-offs, and in my opinion, more entertaining and re-watchable than Fatal Attraction itself. This and Freeway are my favorite films of Reese Witherspoon, before she sold her soul to Hollywood. Mark Wahlberg is also pretty good in this, very creepy performance. And lets not forget the HOT rollercoaster scene

Marky Mark was definitely a good psycho in this, but he sounded like he had marbles in his mouth for the entire movie. He must've taken elocution lessons in the last ten years.

RW wasn't naked in this, was she?

My moron friends and I still yell, "So let me in the f**king house!!!" every time we drink. Doesn't get much better than that.

Movies that just sharply end without any "falling action" (i.e. "wrap up" scenes) tend to piss me off--this film's one of 'em.
Spoiler:
Mark Wahlberg dies
and it's "roll credits!"...bleh...

I love this movie, and that was a great line.

Definitely this deserved to find a wider audience. Very solid thriller.

I'll never forget the dog's
Spoiler:
severed head coming through the doggie door.

Do we need spoilers for a film that is 10 years old?

Someone likes it just for the roller coaster scene...

My brother is obsessed with this movie. There was one span of time where he watched it every single day for 2 weeks straight. It's a decent movie, but that's literally insane.

The only flick she got naked in was Twilight.

Great film, but I haven't seen it in years. This thread makes me want to track down the DVD.

If you're in the UK Sky TV plays it all the time late at night on the movie channels. The movie's great!

The dogs head is fake,no real dog was harmed. Actors/people die in the film too and are harmed. So if anything, you should not appreciate those aspects as well.

Also the films meant to push buttons and be unnerving and shocking. Thus the dog sequence is very appropriate for the film. Life is not always pretty, and the guy is a really bad guy. So he should be as evil as possible,no matter how 'upset' it makes us.

I think this film can be found for like $5 now right? I should pick it up sometime. It's been years since I saw it,but I remember enjoying it at the time.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHH! Ok, thanks for the info!!! You'd think there would be some sort of statement in the credits saying no animals were harmed or something like that...just so people know.
