I personally preferred Munich and Brokeback to Crash. The other nominated films were good, but I didn't love them.
I hadn't seen Shakespeare in Love when it won, but because it beat SPR, I naturally despised it. Having seen it, I actually think it is a better movie than SPR.
The Pianist should've won over Chicago, which is still despise.
