I'm sorry, but Napoleon Dynamite is the most subjective "funny" movie ever. I personally found it extremely lame and limp, but just about 3/4 of the kids at my college thought it was SOOOO funny; soooo funny in fact that they had to to quote it every minute just to show how FUNNY they are. Ok...rant over.
I personally like a lot of these movies, and find them very funny. 40 yr old Virgin, Wedding Crashers, South Park, Austin Powers, and Legally Blonde are among some of my favorite movies....so yeah. Although I REALLY did not find either of the Meet the Parents funny at all...maybe a chuckle here and there, but most definitely both were a let down in my book.

no Super Troopers no sale. This is probably one of the funniest movies ive watched in the last 5 years. That and office space are my two most watched comedys.

Especially in the lower ranks, this list puts waaay to much emphasis on recent movies.
The two I find really out of place are The Incredibles and Dr. Strangelove. While The Incredibles has it's funny moments, at it's heart it's an adventure, albiet a light-hearted one. As for Dr. Strangelove, someone needs to explain to these people that black comedy doesn't equal haha-hee-hee comedy.
And where the hell is "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World?"

That ridiculous list is funnier than any of the movies on it!

Of all the bad "Top-whatever Lists" of the past few years, this is easily the worst one. It looks like something that was compiled by some 20-year-old who hasn't seen many movies made before 1977. This list is so overly dominated by recent movies that it is a bit surprising when an older movie actually pops up on it.
No Marx Brothers, no Charlie Chaplin, no Buster Keaton, no Monty Python's Life of Brian, no Lolita, no Top Secret!, no A Shot in the Dark, no His Girl Friday, etc., etc. While some humor-challenged movies like Meet the Fockers and Legally Blonde are on the list. Man, what an awful list!
I'm wondering who voted on this list? Does Bravo tell us who they polled and what their rules were?

Terrible list for the most part. I mean, where in the hell are the Jerry Lewis version of Nutty Professor and Planes, Trains, and Automobiles?
I must be in the minority on this forum, but I think Fockers is very funny. I would put Made on my list as well.

i wonder if Bravo showed the complete list to the interviewees (Rob Reiner, Harold Ramis, Ivan Reitman, John Landis, the Farrelly Bros., Amy Heckerling)...i wonder because though their movies (Princess Bride, Fast Times, Stripes, Ghostbusters, Something About Mary) while pretty funny and should be included in the pantheon, i'm sure many of them got their inspirations from the Marx Bros. and the comedies prior to 1960.
i would think if they saw their favs of all time and most people's weren't on the list if they would indeed endorse such a lame list. my guess is no.

One I thought was missing from the list that I found very funny was "Rat Race". The sequence with Jon Lovitz stealing the nazi car and ending up looking like hitler in the ww2 vets gathering was hillarious.
I have to disagree with Wedding Singer at number 8! I thought that was one of Adam Sandlers least funny comedies. Also, i have to agree with others that said what about John Candy movies. Planes Tranes and Automobiles and Uncle Buck were better than many on this list.

59. Police Academy Series
Since when are these movies just one movie? And when did all the sequels become funny? The only one worth a damn was the first police academy. Bobcat Goldthwaite dubbed all the rest of the movies "Police Lobotomy".
I'm baffled by the lack of a lot of great comedies.
