Depends if it's a film or a video.

I posted it. Just trying to help. The Internet Movie Database is kind of obscure with a web address like www.imdb.com

I think it's safe to say most people don't know about it.

Groucho 05-24-06 12:06 PM

IMDB is the #30 most popular site on the Internet (source: Alexa). (BTW, Google is #32)

If you're talking about most people on the planet, I agree. I'd say most here though know it well. But, thanks anyway for the tip.

Well then what can we do to spread the word about DVDTalk? I'm open to ideas. Let's come up with a plan.

Thanks for being so helpful. I think the issue is most of us here *know* this and most movie-lovers who are connected know of IMDB. Granted the acronym is ....obscure but any Google search will get you there.

Spam each and every IMDB message board.

The jokes will be coming in...get ready to archive this.

Brent L 05-24-06 12:53 PM

I also forgot about "rampant dog murder" and "20 (million) questions".

j123vt_99 05-24-06 01:05 PM

Isn't IMDB (the acronym) almost an accepted part of everyday speech? I hear people all the time referring to it even using it as a verb sometimes (as in I will IMDB that when I get home)

funniest thread in a long time. I laughed a good laugh.
