Uh oh! Other people have seen this before. You're in for it now. Head for the hills! |
That'll probably be the quality of the new DVD set... :grumble:
|
What's the story behind this?
|
scene from the upcoming "Star Wars: Episode III.I- Brokeback Tatooine"
|
I always thought it was strange that they added the reunion for the two characters in the SEs, but no introduction to Biggs before that. Guess now I see why they didn't leave it in. Yeesh.
Plust, I think he grabbed Luke's ass at the end. Pervert. |
Never seen it, pretty cool stuff, ty OP.

Yeah, know, I know.....It was released on the "Behind the Magic" CD-ROM from 1997. But I found it uploaded to youtube, and I figured, why not share this tidbit with others who haven't seen it? |
I've never seen that, awesome!

Haven't seen it, thought it was cool.
thanks. |
Neat, I hadn't seen it either.
|
they are on on a Star wars Cd rom from a few years ago, there was also an alternate scene in Mos Eisley with Han Solo with some woman at his side when he met Luke and Ben. I wish they were put on the SW DVDs

I recall hearing rumors that this was supposed to be restored for the 2004 edition of the movie. I wonder why Lucas couldn't be bothered with it. The reunion scene has always been out of place at the end because this was missing. |
Whats with the droid in the beginning?
Johnny-5 Alive!! |
The Biggs/Luke interaction was a great part of the novel, and I wondered why they cut it. This scene is well-acted and rounds out a lot of what the Empire really is, and why the rebellion is acting. I think this, and the reunion scene, should both be included in the film. Plus it helps cement Luke as a dreamer.
|
that was kind of surreal. now I understand better why all the actors thought Star Wars would flop......they must have seen that clip. looks like something out of Zardoz

Johnny-5 Alive!! I guess that the droid that breaks down at the beginning of the clip explains why Luke has to buy C3PO and R2-D2. |
I hadn't seen that, yet. Thank you.

These scenes start off the Radio drama presentation of Star Wars. The radio version expands the relationship of Biggs and Luke a little bit more in other parts as well with respect to the movie.
|
Very interesting why on Earth is it not on the DVD.
|
The first part of that clip looks like it was filmed in the 1920's! I halfway expected to hear a piano playing Luke's theme ragtime-style.

Wow, kind of cool to see that at last. And to realize that bad acting has always been a part of the Star Wars universe. Yeesh!

With this scene in, the movie would've instead cut away from the battle to introduce Luke - and then cut back to the droids escaping. Although it would've worked okay with the scene in, the movie works better without it.

Then he came back later in the evening and R2 had gone off. It's been a while since I read the comic book, but that's how I always pieced the deleted scene in.
And who knew old Uncle Owen was handy with a blaster? My first time seeing it to. Thanks OP! |
Never seen it before.........thanks a lot!!
