Which Bond films will you get?

The Ultimate editions are coming out this year for all the Bond films, will you be getting a select few or all of them packaged together in some sort of box or maybe the attache case that UK is getting?

I'm definitely getting the first three, Dr. No, From Russia with Love, and Goldfinger as they're my top 3 favorite. FRwL is my favorite movie all time and i might get You Only Live Twice as it has a lot of iconic good stuff like Nancy Sinatra, best Bond in Asia, Donald Pleasence, etc

This is discussing which you'll get based on your liking of the film not the dvds.

Actually, your thread is about the purchasing of DVDs, not discussing the movies specifically. And I guarantee there will be plenty of answers like Linko's "all or nothing," which doesn't reflect on a person's specific like or dislike of the movies, just a desire to have them all (like me).

I will not be double-dipping on any of the ones I already own, so that means that I will pick up just a few, most likely:

From Russia w/ Love
Thunderball
You Only Live Twice
Diamonds are Forever
On Her Majesty's Secret Service

That would be the threadcrapping option.

I'll probably get all of them. From Russia With Love, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, For Her Thighs Only, Licence to Kill, and GoldenEye will be my most watched though.

This should be in DVD Talk, as it is talking about which Bond dvds will you get, not which Bond is your favorite, which has several threads.

I'm holding off and getting all the Bonds with the next gen.

I picked up all three of the previous box sets for cheap at Fry's a while back. I don't find anything wrong with them (are they non-anamorphic? I use front-projection so that doesn't faze me). I'm satisfied. I won't be double-dipping on any.

The Connery ones and Goldeneye which I got from Ebay and was aboot I have all the other ones and they're fine with me. Maybe For Your Eyes Only if they can put an alternate audio track that gets rid of the disco bond theme

Probably only the movies i dont have on DVD already

For Your Eyes Only, Living Daylights, OHMSS.

If i double dip that will depend greatly on how great the special features are. (Although i dont really watch the ones on the DVD's i have now.)

My response doesn't change. I love all twenty of the Bond movies, except a few are just slightly above average like Diamonds Are Forever and A View to a Kill.

Own them all already. Would take a LOT for me to upgrade.

I end up watching them mainly when company is over and such. And it looks great having them all in chrono-order on the shelf!

I watched Goldeneye over the weekend for the first time in a while - I'm awfully tempted to double dip if the a/v is a major improvement, but I will try my damnedest to hold off until an HD release.

I'm with you B.A.! I actually own all of them (The legitimate ones at least) and any double dipping I do would only depend on how dramatic of an improvement the UE are and for that matter the HD editions are. Like you, B.A., I recently watched Goldeneye and it definetely needs an upgrade, so does Octopussy and some of the earlier films. My plan is to wait until the HD releases but we'll see.
