Godfather III is a piece of crap because the character of Michael Corleone is completely destroyed, hardly resembling the man we see in the first two films(especially II).

Off the top of my head, I don't know a lot of people that enjoy:

Vanilla Sky
The Way Of The Gun

And if you judged by the vocal haters on the internet:
Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace
Star Wars: Episode II - Attack Of The Clones
Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge Of The Sith
Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World's End
Titanic

Misguided humans .. I have a ton of 'em ...

Alien: Resurrection - Done by my favorite French director. Wonderfully fucking casted (Perlman, Hedaya, Douriff and Jeunet favorite Dominique Pinon). It's beautifully shot, doesn't have an entirely bad premise ..and overall, it's a really fun film. I'd rather watch this 100 times than see another AVP film, period.

Bad Boys II/Transformers - I don't know, something about it just works for straight up mindless entertainment. Bay still puts out some of the best over-polished action sequences in films today and the highway sequence was great! ..as was the desert sequence in Transformers.

Hudson Hawk - Nothing beats the Mayflower duo! It's so over the top stupid humor - done right - one has to laugh ..

Last Man Standing - A fairly dumbed down version of the original source, but again .. wonderfully casted (Walken, Kelly, Sanderson, Willis ..) a ton of serious gunplay ... and the plot is actually somewhat believable. Very entertaining.

The Matrix: Reloaded and Revolutions - The Matrix stands alone in its own right and the Animatrix series stands far superior in my mind than either of the sequels. But Reloaded and Revolutions are some of the biggest and most fun films with blind ambition that I have ever seen. Except for a few bits, either of the films also utilize CGI effects better than most blockbuster action films, period.

Monster's Ball - Excellent performances (even P. Diddy) all around and beautifully scored. I realize this film won an Oscar but there just never seems to be a following loud enough to carry that weight.

Mystery Men - Stupid? Yeah. But it works on a whole other plane. I mean come on, the The Spleen, The Shoveler, Michael Bay as a frat brother, Geoffrey Rush and of all people, Wes Studi in tights - ha .. who thought of this?

Wild, Wild, West - What I like about it, it's clever and different. Otherwise ..and for the most part, it's utterly stupid.

I love Freddy got Fingered. Cracks me up, even though I really don't like Tom Green all that much.

The Star Wars prequels. Well, mostly episodes 2&3.

Nothing short of being able to immerse the fanboys in a Matrix-style virtual reality where they could live the life of Boba Fett (while having sex with Laura Croft in the Millennium Falcon) would have satisfied these people. Once you factor out that and look at them a little more objectively, they're really not that bad. No, they are not as good as the original trilogy, but that alone doesn't damn them.

The biggest problem is that the main character, Anakin Skywalker, really isn't that likable a character, and I feel that's due more to casting than the writing. Yes, the little kid version is annoying (Episode 1 is the worst of the three), but adolescent Annie gets a bum wrap. So he's dorky and stiff when he talks to Padme. He was essentially raised by a bunch of monks, why would you expect him to be smooth around girls? Doesn't like sand? He's toungue tied. Yes, it could have been written with a little more nuance, but could Hayden have delivered it any better evenif it had been? I doubt it.

Everyone brings up the fact (and it's true) that Timothy Zahn's Heir to the Empire trilogy is a better story, but Zahn's work is atypical of the extended universe, which has some stories that make the prequel trilogy look like Shakespeare in comparison (Crystal Star, anyone?).

War of the Worlds (2005)

To me, this was the "Alien Invasion" Summer Movie that the crappy Independence Day should've been. Pure spectacle in which the destruction was impressively carried out and pretty well spread-out throughout the movie, instead all in the beginning with dull character stuff for an hour before an incredibly stupid "defeating the aliens" ending (I'm looking at you, ID4).

And I think anyone who hated the way the aliens were beaten (a) never read the book and/or (b) never saw the original 1953 version, because this updated version was pretty faithful to the basic storyline of both. And speaking of the original movie version, this movie references both that and the original Invaders from Mars which, as a fan of '50s Sci-Fi, gets a definite Thumbs-Up from me.

Yes, it's not perfect (the Tim Robbins section is too long and the son still being alive at the end is completely ridiculous), but as a remake and as a Summer Movie spectacle, it delivers (IMO).

I have seen 3 mentions of Kindom of Heaven, that movie is in my top 5 all-time favorites. Do most people really dislike it, that is so hard for me to comprehend.

I liked Kingdom of Heaven too and was surprised that it was only at 39% on Rotten Tomatoes, not that it really matters. It's not exactly historically accurate, but I enjoyed it anyway.

damn, i've had the kingdom of heaven dc for a while and have never gotten around to watching it, its always praised here, The original cut was flawed and rushed and not given time to develop, and has a 'can we hury up to the battle scene's please' feeling. hope the dc is worth the time.

Death to Smootchy- I think Robin Williams is outstanding in this, even though I usually count on Ed Norton to carry a picture.

Dirty Work- Jack Warden is my hero.

Dead Pool- It's the first Dirty Harry movie I ever saw and I love it.

Waiting...- Because every movie should feature the penis showing game.

Major League 2- Because Omar Epps is on House and Wesley Snipes is in prison.

I really loved this one as well. Plus, two to the bolded sections.

Who hates Demolition Man?

Seriously, that was a hit when it came out, and it has aged well (except the part at the beginning, as we know the late 90's didn't end up that bad in L.A.).

But the movie itself is really good both from an action standpoint and from the social satire standpoint. This is generally a well liked and well respected movie.

5. Zardoz. Because it's Zardoz. I love Zardoz.
OK, Zardoz sucks. It's total crap. One of the 10 worst movies ever (outside of Ed Wood movies, and the like).

That's one where you love a movie that anyone with the slightest bit of taste and intelligence hates.

Matrix 2 and 3 (maybe I dont get into the whole nerdory of the story but the action scenes in part 2 and 3 make them better than the first)
Episode 1 (probably the worst of the 6 star wars movies but Id still give it 4 out of 5 stars)
Freddy got fingered (big Tom green fan and Rip Torn shines)
Hulk
Daredevil

Revenge (1990 Tony Scott film): Great film IMO. I thought Coster & Madeline Stowe were great together on screen and Anthony Quinn was an excellent villain.

Transformers: Loved the cartoon and toys so much that there was no way I could hate this movie. Peter Cullen returning as Prime made it even better.

Bad Boys 2: At 2 hours, 20 minutes, it's a little long, but I really liked seeing Smith & Lawrence back as these characters.

Daredevil (Regular & Director's Cut): Very fun movie and I thought Affleck & Garner had great chemistry together.

War of the Worlds: I agree with some other sentiments that this is what ID4 should have been.

Superman Returns: Although a little flawed, I thought it was a great return for the Superman franchise.

Romeo Must Die: I thought this movie was badass. Aaliyah was hot, Jet Li and Russell Wong's fight scene capped off a solid debut for Jet Li as a lead in a U.S. film.

Blade: Trinity: Even though they spent too much time on Reynolds and Biel's characters, I thought this was a good way to end the series.

Miami Vice: I really liked this movie, the sights, sounds and backdrop of Miami. Colin Farrell wasn't my ideal Crockett, but he did a decent job. Same applies with Jamie Foxx.

The Cable Guy- I know so many people who despise this movie, and I guess it is cause Jim Carrey isn't the bumbling good guy, but a dark, twisted guy. I think the movie is funny as hell, as Ben Stiller's style really gives Jim Carrey a new dimension, as I always felt this was the last edgy comedy he ever did. I believe he took the criticisms hard and ended up making softer, feel good comedies like Liar Liar and Bruce Almighty, and was too safe for a talent like him.

Kingpin- I think this Farelly Bros. movie getting sandwiched in between Dumb & Dumber and There Something about Mary has made everyone forget that this movie holds up pretty well today, and though raunchy at times, still does have some hilareous moments. But most people I know didn't like it at the time, and probably have never given it another chance.

Attack of the Clones- This was the most despised of the Prequels, even more then Phantom Menace by EVERYONE I know. Man I had friends who almost walked away from being a SW fan in 2002 because of this. Now I am not saying this is on par with the Original SW movies, but I still feel this is the best of the 3 Prequel movies. Phantom Menace is too kiddy, and Jar Jar and Jake Lloyd just take you out of the movie. Revenge of the Sith just falls apart after Anakins turn, as it so not believable and it turns out to be a Prequels Greatest Hits with all the montages. Attack of the Clones, atleast tries to establish character development, tries to setup a good story, and you can atleast understand Anakins motivations when his mom is killed rather then Episode III where he is has a dream, and the Emperor just cons him like an idiot. Plus I love Christopher Lee, so he is a cool villain, and I liked the whole Kamino part too.

Alien: Ressurection - I absolutely love this movie. The effects are great, the cast is perfect. It's gross, it's over the top and it just looks really cool. I could watch it any day of the week. Way better than part 3.
Superman Returns - I couldn't contain my excitement while watching this for the first time. I loved the paternal sub-plot that everyone hates and all of the action scenes were great. I thought it was thoroughly entertaining and most of all very touching.
Spider-man 3 - I can't remember having as much fun watching another movie in a theater as I did watching Spider-man 3. I loved the cheese, and the action was awesome. It's everything I would expect from Raimi. I think the Spider-man films almost echo the Evil Dead films (in my mind). They get increasingly outrageous and the second is the most well-rounded.
Mystery Men - Not great, but very entertaining. The jokes keep getting funnier every time I see it. "The steak eater picks the pocket of the salad man" The characters have so much dynamic and the cast is great.
The Fly II - I'm a huge fan of the first Fly and while this isn't nearly as great, it's good for what it is. A plain and simple monster flick.
Open Water - I did a lot of defending for this movie. I was blown away by how engaging they made the film so engaging with a couple floating in the middle of the ocean. Just the premise alone is absolutely terrifying. I thought the bickering couple moments were bona fide, as well.
The Cable Guy - I think it gets a lot more respect now, but it has always been a favorite of mine. Very underrated and hilarious.
Ghostbusters 2 - Obviously, not much different than the first, but I can quote the movie word for word and it never stops being funny. The effects are great and its ridiculously entertaining.
Last Action Hero - Again, not great, but I thought it was clever, funny and just a blast. I love Stallone as the Terminator.

I know there's more, but that's all I can think of at the moment.
