I have no idea why this movie has gotten such bad reviews. To me it's like one of those 130 minute movies you watch and say "That would be so much better if they took all the crap out and made it 20 minutes shorter." Well, they did!
I saw the 10:00 showing tonight and it was packed so I guess the bad review(er)s aren't turning everyone off.

It was average.
It was entertaining.
I liked it.
I took a five minute break to go to the bathroom and I didn't miss anything important.
I have never seen 24 but I liked Kiefer and Michael's characters. (I know that Michael doesn't star in 24)

I saw it last night and hated it. IMO, the dialogue was beyond awful and the "funny" lines were groan-inducing, and not in a good way.
I'd definitely pass on this in the theaters - it's at best a rent.

I saw it today and thought it was good, not great. The plot was pretty predictable and I figured out who the traitor was in the first 30 minutes of the movie.
The movie could have been a little better if Kiefer would have played Breckinridge with the same intensity as Jack Bauer. However, after playing Jack Bauer for 10 months, I wouldn't be surprised if he was a little run down while filming this movie.
Longoria's role wasn't really needed. Overall, the movie has very little replay value. I would only get the DVD if Douglas or Sutherland contribute to the audio commentary. Otherwise, I will pass on seeing this again.

I saw this movie today and I have to agree with the above post. Call me a pervert but I Was hoping to see some more of Eva Longoria if you know what I mean. She did not have a major role at all and the one or two cleavage shots were barely enough to make up for this. She plays a rookie, and is frequently kept quiet by her superiors, and never really offers much. I also was a bit confused about the villian, they did not give any history of the villian except for that he was inolved with the KGB, or why he wanted the assassination. I thought the days of blaming the Russians were over?

Very predictable, but I enjoyed it anyhow. Keifer and Douglas are great and the one scene where they really go toe to toe was worth the admission price. I didn't like some of the stylistic choices early on in the film, but they thankfully just seemed to disappear. Of course, the fact that the finale took place in Toronto (actually playing itself, not standing in for Detroit or something) brought MY personal enjoyment up... overall, if you've got time to kill, check out a matinee, otherwise, wait for disc.

I just rented and watched this movie. It was OK I guess. Nothing really suspenseful or surprising, ... unless you count finding out Sledge Hammer is the President of the United States!
I saw David Rasche's name in the opening credits, but when my wife and I saw he was the President, she said she could no longer take the movie seriously.

This film is the family-friendly version of the immensely superior In The Line of Fire. If it wasn't for the
, The Sentinel could've easily been a PG movie.

Huge 24 fan, and I didn't find this movie to be anything more than average. It didn't really have a climax or much suspense through the whole movie. When it was over I was just like ok... the end. Too much Douglas, not enough Kiefer.

the movie sucked.
i suppose my expectations were skewed by the trailers, in which, it seemed the majority of the movie was MD avoiding the SS to prove his innocence. Which did happen, but for what? 20 or 30 minutes of the movie?
I wanted to see a Veteran SS agent using his know how to always be a step ahead of the SS agents chasing him for the whole movie.
