Anyone seen this yet?
The Beastie Boys gave out 50 cameras to fans at a show in MSG and put this movie together from the footage. Sounds like a great idea, or a horrible one. I'm gonna check it out tonight.

Just got back from a screening at the Nuart. Definitely nothing all that exciting. Yes, it IS hyper-edited and pretty amateurishly at that. I like the Beasties, so I enjoyed the concert footage, but I'd rather it had just been shot professionally. They keep cutting to lame footage, like some guy in the upper section yelling, "c'mon make some noise for the dvd!" with people staring at him blankly. The editing makes you wonder if they turned the footage over to a 12 year old who knew a thing or two about Adobe Premier and just loves some of those wacky After Effects filters.
There were some idiots behind me yapping through the whole thing too, which added to the annoying editing to make some of it a bit grating.
As a bonus to anyone seeing it at the Nuart, there's a trailer for a film staring Bjork that has to be one of the most irritating things I've seen in a long time. I have no idea what the film is about, but I do know that I won't be seeing it.
