I saw it this afternoon and it was one of the most tense, pulse pounding 2 hours I have experienced watching movies. I could not imagine the chaos and terror everyone on that flight went through during it's final moments. I applaud Universal and Paul Greengrass for casting no-name actors and real people to play the roles of the victims. Instead of turning this movie into a "Hollywood" film, I felt like I was watching real people going through this tragedy.

I agree with one of the earlier statements that the A&E Flight 93 movie was a far inferior film compared to this one.

Not enough snakes on the plane for my liking.

I have no plans on seeing this film. Having smelled the cloud of soot from the World Trade Center float over my home, I have no desire to relive that day again.

I look forward to seeing this. Perhaps in theaters, I want to give it a few weeks though.

I saw the movie and while altough I agree it probably was too soon...it was good to be reminded. After the movie was over there was complete silence in the theater and some guy yelled "Never Forget" and walked out.

It was an emotional 2 hours.

I couldn't believe how disorganized our country was during the whole process!

I saw it with 3 other friends and we had a pretty long conversation about each of us recalling where exactly we were when we found out, all of us could pinpoint what was going on for nearly the entire day (we were all in high school). Kind of like the 'where were you when Kennedy was shot?' for our generation.

Not only that, but the enemy is much more disorganized than before. Thousands of tons of TNT have a great disorganizing effect.

As for the movie, it was better than I thought it was going to be. And like I've been saying, needed to be made/seen/remembered.

Wow. My heart was racing for the entire running time...I couldn't stop biting my nails, and my jaw dropped multiple times. One of the most intense movies I have ever seen. Intense and well made. For a story that is still a hot button topic, the filmmakers really paid tribute to all those involved, not pandering to the audience or sensationalizing anything. Greengrass and everyone else involved should be commended. This is a MUST SEE movie. It's not an easy movie to take, but the conversations and feelings it brings up are important and I think anyone avoiding the film in protest is extremely misguided in it's intentions... that said, anyone who feels it is too soon, when you're ready, you have got to see United 93. The best and most important movie of 2006 thus far.

I saw an 12:20 A.M. showing of the film on Saturday night. There was only 6 people total in the theater. But it was playing on the super large screen,which is why I just 'had' to catch it in theaters while I could.

I'd echo everyone elses reactions to the films power,very intense,very emotional,very powerful.

It's definitely not a rewatchable film(unlike other controversial/disturbing films i have rewatched a couple times),but a one time experiance....in a theater would be the best way to view it.

if you honestly don't think something like that will happen again, you're fooling yourself.

For those who care, it looks like the depiction in the movie of the final moments of flight 93 line up with the cockpit voice transcripts.

Look at it this way to why UNITED 93 is tasteless:
Pearl Harbor, Saving Private Ryan, and Black Hawk Down are reference DVDs for audio. Hypothetically speaking, let's say that when UNITED 93 comes out on DVD and it has awesome DVD audio/video quality, won't it be wierd or bizarre reviewing the DVD of it if it does have reference audio quality? Or even worse - the HD-DVD or Blu Ray DVD of UNITED 93.

If UNITED 93 will be a reference quality audio DVD, will it be considered one in the reviews or by the home theater junkies or not talked about or reviewed in a very careful way? How will it be?

I'm actually curious to see the movie now, even though it's totally tasteless.

And United 93 doesn't have the bombastic action scenes of Pearl Harbor, Saving Private Ryan nor Black Hawk Down. It won't be reference quality video or audio due to the way the movie is shot (it's a docu-drama).

And wait, how would that be tasteless? If people bought this movie just to be a reference for audio/video quality? The reviewers wouldn't have or be the problem, the people who bought it for that purpose would. But if it were going to have reference quality a/v it'd be an entirely different movie all together.

Oliver Stone's WORLD TRADE CENTER is supposed to have bombastic action scenes...im sure that movie will have awesome audio. I'm not calling their future DVDs tasteless, im calling the movies tasteless. Im just saying it's going to be wierd when both these movies come out on DVD and let's say they supposedly have DD 5.1 or DTS that rocks. Is that even tasteless that I just said that? That's what i'm questioning. How will people talk about the DVD audio/video when the DVDs come out? Is it appropriate or not to say that the subwoofer will really get the neighbors knocking when the towers collapse in WORLD TRADE CENTER? Will the DVD reviewers skip that part and focus on other aspects of the DVD or will that part of the audio be praised? I'm just curious of how the DVDs will be talked about...What's not to understand?

In fact it is rated the 15th best fantasy film of all time, right after Wizard of Oz and Princess Mononoke.
