I think it would be better if you played up the fact that the guy obviously can't accept growth on an emotional and psychological level. He only wants the glory of adulthood (battling and defeating Captain Hook) but refuses the downside (getting fat or bald or responsibility).

I think showing someone in emotionally arrested state could be a creepy and interesting thing.

The comic book The Lost had peter pan and his crew as vampires. I read a few issues and thought it was interesting.

Christopher Walken needs to play Hook. He just has that evil vibe about him that works so well, whether he's acting in a movie or running for president in 2008.
