This one is funny since anyone who has seen the R rated version. Knows there is no gore in that version at all

It is all edited down to G rated 50's tv level and all the violence is offscreen. Grisly imagery is deleted, the finale is in black & white pretty much with scenes cropped to obscure severed limbs. There is nothing left in the R rated version. Thus it should be rated R for violence and some language/sexual references. But an 'abundance of outrageous gore'? NOPE!

I always enjoy Comic Mischief, and I kept my eyes open during "Shrek 2" for that brief drug reference they warned me about.

Would the movie have garnished a PG rating for weak gunfights?

Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation (1994)

Rated R for demented mayhem and torture, and for strong language.

(I'm sure it was the strong language that pushed it over the top and got it the R-rating)

Batman & Robin (1997)

Rated PG-13 for strong stylized action and some innuendos.

(Innuendos? Is this that "Batman and Robin are actually gay" thing again?)

the ratings reason for the remake

High Tension (2005)
Rated R for graphic bloody killings, terror, sexual content and language.

Even if they don't make an ounce of sense.

Torture in the movie, or torture for those who are watching the movie?

"They turned your movie into one 90 minute gay joke. It's like watching Batman & Robin all over again!" - Hooper X

Bat-nipples = innuendo?

I'm particularly fond of this one...

Title: About Schmidt (2001)
Rating: R
Rating Reason: Rated R for some language and Kathy Bates' naked ass.

...at least that's what it should read

Haven't seen The Aviator, but noticed one of the reasons for its rating was "a crash scene."

A little vague, yes, but that is one hell of a crash scene. To quote Scorsese: "Adrenaline rushes I can do." Amen.

there was a movie at walmart that had a discription that had "intense graphic scenes of inner city violence" or something like that.

About 10 or 15 minutes in, I think. Best part of the whole 3 hour movie. Don't watch it on TV though. Rent it, because you'll want to rewind it a few times.
