Rated PG-13 for strong gunfights, some language and sensuality.

Blue Crush
Rated PG-13 for sexual content, teen partying, language and a fight.

gotta love teen partying, and also that one fight that was in there.

This one is funny since anyone who has seen the R rated version. Knows there is no gore in that version at all:)

It is all edited down to G rated 50's tv level and all the violence is offscreen. Grisly imagery is deleted, the finale is in black & white pretty much with scenes cropped to obscure severed limbs. There is nothing left in the R rated version. Thus it should be rated R for violence and some language/sexual references. But an 'abundance of outrageous gore'? NOPE!

Alan Smithee 02-28-06 07:25 PM

I always enjoy Comic Mischief, and I kept my eyes open during "Shrek 2" for that brief drug reference they warned me about.

Would the movie have garnished a PG rating for weak gunfights?

Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation (1994)

Rated R for demented mayhem and torture, and for strong language.

(I'm sure it was the strong language that pushed it over the top and got it the R-rating)

Batman & Robin (1997)

Rated PG-13 for strong stylized action and some innuendos.

(Innuendos? Is this that "Batman and Robin are actually gay" thing again?)

Rypro 525 02-28-06 10:32 PM

the ratings reason for the remake
Hills Have Eyes, The (2005)
Rated R for strong gruesome violence and terror throughout, and for language. (and this version was cut by 5 minutes to avoid an r rating
btw here's the directors other movie
High Tension (2005)
Rated R for graphic bloody killings, terror, sexual content and language.

Rypro 525 02-28-06 10:51 PM

this one for "walk the line" always amused me
Rated PG-13 for some language, thematic material and depiction of drug dependency.

Even if they don't make an ounce of sense.

Torture in the movie, or torture for those who are watching the movie?

Rated PG-13 for strong stylized action and some innuendos.

"They turned your movie into one 90 minute gay joke. It's like watching Batman & Robin all over again!" - Hooper X

Bat-nipples = innuendo?

Downfall has 'Suicide Themes' listed on the R4. Talk about a spoiler!

AsmodeusVice 03-01-06 04:46 AM

I'm particularly fond of this one...

Title: About Schmidt (2001)
Rating: R
Rating Reason: Rated R for some language and Kathy Bates' naked ass.

...at least that's what it should read

Alan Smithee 03-01-06 03:45 PM

Haven't seen The Aviator, but noticed one of the reasons for its rating was "a crash scene."

Tyler_Durden 03-01-06 04:51 PM

A little vague, yes, but that is one hell of a crash scene. To quote Scorsese: "Adrenaline rushes I can do." Amen.

Meet Joe Black has "an accident scene" listed.

Rypro 525 03-01-06 05:26 PM

there was a movie at walmart that had a discription that had "intense graphic scenes of inner city violence" or something like that.

I keep missing that 'accident scene',which i hear is hilarious. Exactly how long into the film does it take place? I keep missing it everytime it is on tv!

About 10 or 15 minutes in, I think. Best part of the whole 3 hour movie. Don't watch it on TV though. Rent it, because you'll want to rewind it a few times.

whynotsmile 03-01-06 08:43 PM

That's the first one that came to my mind when I saw this thread.

Benny and joon
Rated PG for theme, a scene of mild sensuality and one use of harsh language.
or possibly the gratuitusly longest
The Fugitive
Rated PG-13 for a murder and other action sequences in an adventure setting.

UAIOE 03-03-06 10:40 PM

Mild sensuality?
