"Class of 1984" and other great revenge flix thread!

I just saw this 82 opus on DVD and boy was it a blast! Sure, the acting was cheesy, as were the sets, the costumes, the etc... but man can that "teacher teacher" dole out revenge. I really liked this movie. (also, the extras on the new SE are really interesting)

So what are some other great revenge movies and what's so good about them, not just this type, but any and all??

Another "classic" from that same time period is "Savage Streets" with Linda Blair. Her deaf sister, played by Linnea Quigley, gets raped and then her pregnant best friend is killed, right before her wedding. Linda Blair takes revenge on the gang that did it with a crossbow, bear traps, etc...

It's not on DVD yet but I transferred it from tape to DVD so I'll pop it in sometimes when I want to turn the brain off and watch something mindless.

I just watched Class of 1984 last night, as well for the first time. Good times. The climax was sweet.

Dogville and Oldboy are probably the best revenge flicks i've ever seen. Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance was pretty good.

Although the posters might be better than some of those movies.

Heh, Johnny Firecloud - A Hate Story, I love it! With Frank De Kova, wasn't he the chief of the Hekawis on F-Troop?

It is a revenge film, of sorts.

Class of 1984 came out yesterday, didn't it? I remember being a really little kid and seeing the movie poster in the newspaper and wanting to see it. Maybe I'll pick it up today.

OK, I finally saw this for the first time last night (I couldn't sleep), and I agree--it was a lot of fun! Great transfer and the movie was a lot better than I was expecting. Some of the acting was cheesy, but not all of it; there was some nice work from Perry King and Roddy McDowell. Come to think of it, even most of the other cast were quite natural. I'm definitely glad I blind-bought this.
