I have been trying to find a movie I watched long ago. It involves a heist of an armored truck. All I can really remember is the truck is lifted into a junk yard. I am pretty sure it is not The Heist, The Score, Heat, or The Italian Job.

I think it is The In-Laws with Peter Falk and Alan Arkin.

I dont think the description sounds right but I will rent that tomorrow to see. I dont remember it being a comedy, it was more along the lines of The Heist and The Score. Thanks either way.

The beginning is very different from the rest of the movie. Peter Falk is undercover and dealing with a group of criminals. I might be wrong because I saw it a long time ago and it was on televsion, but I think what you described happens at the beginning.

I am going to try to pick the DVD up tonight. My local blockbuster didnt have it. You did mean the older version correct?

I have seen this movie, but I can't remember what it is. Could be the In-Laws. But the "bad guys" are left in the armored truck for the police to arrest if I am thinking of the same movie.
