Can't wait to see this Sunday. I'm not going because I'm a NASCAR fan... probably the opposite actually. Being from Alabama and having driven past that speedway many times, I'm actually ready to laugh at them making fun of the whole culture. I realize it's probably got a sweet streak somewhere in there, but just seeing Baby Jesus prayed to cracks me up.

i liked anchorman and love will ferrell, but i absolutely hated this movie. i think i laughed once, chuckled a few times, and the rest of the time was bored out of my mind. i even dozed off for part of it. sacha cohen was pretty good in his role, the nascar scenes are filmed well, some great cinematography, but as a comedy it's weak. being an unbiased reviewer, i'd say avoid at all costs. it will still open big given the promotion and star power, but it's a shitty comedy.

I had a good time with this film. It's got decent character arcs, and plenty of laughs, both big and small, and the pacing was also good. The one nitpick I would make is that the racing sequence weren't all that compelling to watch. Most of the cast were clicking on all cylinders.

Be sure to stick around for the outtakes immediately after the film.

I give it 3 stars, or a grade of B.

I really liked it. Pretty consistently funny, great supporting cast. It worked better than Anchorman for me in that the narrative was a bit stronger, and the racing scenes were quite exciting and well-filmed. Very fun. I'm not a big NASCAR fan, but, like most strong parodies, it was clear that the filmmakers had an affection for the sport at the same time that they were sending it up.

Not bad. It was funny, but I think Anchorman was far better.

I hope there's an outtake on the eventual DVD with more
Spoiler:
Mos Def and Elvis Costello. Their fleeting, silent cameos made it seem like maybe they have some material left on the cutting room floor.

There's also another short scene after the credits. Shame more people don't stick around - only my friend, two other people, and myself were in the theater at the very end (I usually stay to see at least the song listings, which are normally one of the last things listed in credits).

I liked the scene after the credits, but then again, I thought the redheaded kid was hilarious throughout the whole movie.
"I'll scissor kick you in the back of the head!"
"I'll come at you like a spider monkey!"

I enjoyed it. It was usual Will F. fare but he is always good for a laugh and I did plenty of that.

Just saw it and it didn't disappoint. A few slow parts, but overall we had a great time. I'm happy they put Cohen in this flick because he really added to the laughs.

I thought this movie was pretty good. Some of the potshots at Nascar were pretty funny. JCR was fantastic. I liked it more than 40 Year Old Virgin but less than Ferrell's last great movie, Old School.

I really enjoyed this. I laughed alot more with this than Anchorman. I give it a B+.

Side question.....What happened to Gary Cole, he looked so damn skinny. Was it for the role ?

Just got back form this and loved it, and this is coming from someone who hated Old School. Will and JCR had great chemistry. Leslie Bibb looked fantastic and Amy Adams looked good and performed well in her few scenes. Gary Cole was good as well.

Texas Ranger was killing me

I thought it was hillarious, really loved the movie. Just as reference I thought Elf was horribly boring and not funny and Anchorman I netflixed and didn't even finish watching it was so bad. So I was quite surprised that I liked this one so much.

Anchorman didn't impress me much the first time I saw it. I'm hoping this movie will grow on me also.

And yeah, T.R. was hilarious.

I just got home from seeing it, a little while ago. I thought it was alright, but nothing special. It's one of my least favourite Will Ferrel films. I'd probably give it 2.5-3 stars.

while the laughs weren't nearly as big as they were in anchorman, I think TDN was an overall better made movie.

It's kind of like a more mainstream version of Anchorman (I know how odd that sounds).

That's exactly what I thought as soon as it finished. It didn't seem to have the "bite" that Anchorman had (and I didn't think Anchorman was all that great). It could have easily been more savage (and funny), but it played it safe a lot.

I laughed my ass off throughout this whole movie. I'm not a huge Will F. fan, but I thought this movie was hilarious. I don't remember laughing this much at a movie in years!

Just saw it and thought it was great. Many LOL moments...probably more than Anchorman.

A bunch of little things made us crack up for several minutes:
Spoiler:
Why do you have the TV on at the same time as the radio?
I like to party

Spoiler:
Nice bike...is that a Huffy?
