Some Batman sequel Rumors.
Got this from IMDB today:
Brokeback Mountain star Jake Gyllenhaal is being touted as Gotham City district attorney Harvey Dent in the next Batman sequel, along with Paul Bettany, who may play the Joker. Gyllenhaal would play Gotham City's good-guy lawyer, who mutates into his alter-ego, Two-Face, in the third film. In the sequel, Batman would team with Harvey Dent to destroy the Joker, according to moviehole.net. Tommy Lee Jones formerly played Dent/Two-Face on the big screen in Batman & Robin. Star Christian Bale is set to return, as well as Michael Caine as butler Alfred.
A lot of rumors going on about the Joker but i am very surprised that Jake might join the cast as Dent. I just hope the producers don't just start adding hot names just because they can, that's a painful road to go down.

How 'bout making an actual BATMAN movie this time, instead of just another martial arts guy in black stealth clothing beats on random other martial arts guys in the same black stealth clothing?
Might as well have been called "Agent 007:The Bat."

Seriously though, what happened to Liev Schreiber? I really don't see Jake as a lawyer, he looks too boyish.

When Glory Road came out, there were rumors of Josh Lucas being up for Dent. And recently there were the Philip Seymour Hoffmas as Penguin rumors. It's funny how someone can make something up on the internet and so-called legitimate sites will run wild with it.
Don't forget the PR machine that pushes self-hype, when Justin Timberlake's people were trying to push him for Two-Face and some sites ran with it as something Warner was actually considering.

great news it looks like the franchise is on a roll.
For those that are waiting for a "real" Batman movie Batman begins was as real as it gets. The only thing I thought was left out was the "detective" aspect of the charactor and I wish they would have shown different aspects of his training with different masters around the world including escape artists and scientists, but that would have made a very long film.
