Saw that guy on Pawn Stars.

Also I received my Hot Toys Darth Vader. Cool figure overall but the batteries can be a challenge to install and the voice feature is poorly designed. It works fine but the problem is the switch is located under three layers of clothing plus his cape and the battery has to be reset after fifteen minutes. Not really sure what they were thinking with that. Also a word of caution the belt can be fragile. Mine tore a bit on the part where the buckle clips in (the figure's right side). I had a tube of fabric glue lying around and luckily was able to get it back together and it seems to be holding up. Probably won't be messing with it much though.

On a side note, how is that Sideshow 1/6 R2D2? I know I could have gotten him cheaper earlier, but Sideshow gave me a coupon for him because I preordered HT Luke.

I like the R2D2 now that I got a good one. I sent my first back because of shoddy paint. There was a missing spot about the size of a dime on the dome and then what looked like a glob of plastic on one of the doors. The replacement is flawless. My C3PO will be here Thursday to go with him.

Just got Obi-Wan and Luke in Trooper disguise last night. 3PO is coming on Friday. I'll have to do a photo of all my Star Wars figures so far when 3PO arrives. Supposedly R5-D4 is shipping this month too. Once I get that Sideshow's reign of terror on my wallet will be diminished for a while. I still have the Sandtrooper, Leia, and the Batman/Bruce Wayne set from Batman Returns on order and will probably order the Tie Pilot (Sideshow), Boba Fett and the Jawas at some point.

Thankfully after Kylo Ren I am done for a few months. I might use some rewards points on the Jawas though.

i kinda just want to vent that this whole #wheresRey nonsense is so moronic. I have seen a ton of merchandiser and constantly get side ads for the sideshow Rey figure that I'm confused why there's all this outrage for a lack of Rey figures.

They're there. I'm not sure why people don't see them and I doubt they rushed to production these new waves of them because of an outrage and more than likely they just held back a lot of wave 2 shit for when the spoilers of her holding a lightsaber or her in a new outfit wouldn't ruin the film.

I haven't read up on it but historically female figures are short packed for boys toys (action figures), plus she usually comes with BB8 and is basically the break out character of the film so I can understand if she's hard to find.

Doesn't help that they inexplicably included somebody named Constable Zuvio to shelf warm hard.

Edited to add: oh she was excluded from monopoly or something.

Yeah there's plenty of Rey merchandise so I don't get it either. It basically started because of her not being included in the Monopoly Star Wars edition that came out. People don't seem to realize though that the game wasn't actually solely for The Force Awakens but Star Wars in general and included four characters (two heroes and villains) from the Star Wars universe. Granted they could have included more characters as game pieces but still its kind of silly that everything has to be so politically correct now days.

I finally ventured out to Target and for the first time saw some Star Wars Black 6 inch figures. There was a Kylo Ren, Finn, Rebel trooper, First Order Storm Trooper... and a single crushed Rey, which was probably there because it was crushed and not scalper-ready. Also a ton of those huge X-wings, which I have no idea how they're going to move at 170 a pop or whatever. But yeah, there was also a plush Rey and a bunch of other Rey merch, so crisis averted, I guess.

The toy nerd in me was tempted, mainly because I had never seen them in store at all and I had just seen the movie... but the $20 price tag brought me back down to earth

Which ones? The little Mattel ones are out now (I've heard), the bigger Mattel ones are like 2Q? Mafex and Hot toys are much later.

Oh I know. I dabbled in HT/SS a few years ago, but ended up getting rid of them.

Now I am converting my toys to status or 1/6.

Got a few SS GI Joe's recently, Robocop w/chair and just purchased some parts to build a John McCLane.

Sigh.

I'm not too sure on the Sideshow C3PO figure. It looks pretty good overall from pictures I've seen but the weathering job looks pretty crappy. I'll be able to judge it better when I have it in hand (should be able to pick it up on Friday).
