For the first listen and general commentary, I recommend the track with Fincher, Pitt and Freeman. Pitt and Fincher were recorded together and bounce off each other well.

The other three commentaries are all great and worth listening to. As they are technical in nature (Story, Picture and Sound), just pick whichever one interests you the most.

I decided to watch the one with Fincher, Pitt, and Freeman before I read your post. Just finished the movie about 15 minutes ago. I enjoyed the hell out of it.

It's amazing how much you can learn from a commentary. Makes you feel like you know the person a little better. I never knew Fincher said the word "fuck" so much until now. Fincher says the word "fuck" more than I do!

Freeman was really interesting as usual, too.

I feel like Fincher needs to pick up the pace and do more movies. Same with Quentin Tarantino. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe they need the time.

Scorcese/De Niro really kick Fincher/Pitt and Tarantino/Thurman's ass in terms of quantity. Luckily all three duos have amazing quality. But I wish the bottom two duos could do more and still keep the same quality.

I'll probably watch the second commentary on the list for Se7en this weekend. Good stuff!

I think my buddy and I watched Super Troopers after getting back from the bar. I'm not entirely sure, though.

You might be interested to know that Fincher has another film with Pitt lined up, Benjamin Button, to be shot when Zodiac wraps. As for Scorsese, he had a 30 year head start!

Yes but there seems to be semi-huge gaps between good releases. Let's be honest, Fincher's last good movie was Fight Club. And that was 1999. It's 2006 now.

If you were satisfied with Panic Room, more power to ya.

The ratio seems off. Scorsese may have had a head start, but he also pulled great movies out of his ass left and right at a slightly faster pace, didn't he? He had his gaps too, but they seemed harder to recognize.

It's all love though, no matter how you look at it. I love Fincher and Tarantino and Martin.

I watched Emilio Fernandez's glorious masterpeice, La Perla (1947) this morning. I can't recommend it highly enough. I'm glad I was finally able to find a decent copy of this film while vacationing in Mexico as it is unavailable in the States.

I just watched Throne of Blood at random instead of sleeping so I suppose that would be it. Somehow I forgot about the arrow through the neck.

Damn, still to see my first yet...Went to see Narnia but it was a mad house at the theatre and the credit card ticket machines were all out of order and there was one person selling tickets. So just went home and decided to do a Scrubs marathon.
