...just when I thought this forum couldn't get any more esoteric, a request for a specific screen shot from an obscure Val Lewton movie from the 40s...

I haven't seen it, but that looks like a production still, not a frame from the movie.

I should receive the Val Lewton set from DDD later this week; if no one else has tried to find something similar by then I'll try to. As I said though, there may not be anything that matches exactly, or even closely.

Wow.
It is a great movie that is not obscure to classic horror fans. It is one of greats, imo.

I just went through the disc and the closest shot I could find was this. Maybe it's in the film at another point, but I scanned through about the last 40 minutes of the movie.
