I'll be there...have to use my Free Ticket from buying the Scared 2 Death Pack

thanks for the song title guys! I went and saw this on the free internet pass with my 15 y.o. son- I loved the over the top deaths. Lots of fun. :)

Checked it out Friday night and it was great fun. They had fun with it and really had some cools scenes. Good Stuff!!!

Fun film but by far the worst of the three. Wish they had done more with the opening scene, seemed like such a waste of a good idea. It was not focused enough and poorly directed. However the other death scenes were better. I also really enjoyed the ending.

I saw it last Friday, meant to comment on it and forgot. I had one problem with the film... From what I had gathered from the first two, "death" intends to kill them the first time. They only escape through intervention. However, in this film, with the song playing throughout the film and whatnot, it's treated like "death" knows they won't die the first time. Just seems rather illogical that death knows it won't kill them the first time, but knows they'll get them the third time or whenever and what'll actually work. That means it knows the first "attempt" will fail, which makes no sense. So it tries to kill them knowing it will fail, without making any changes?
I am curious what the deal with the song was. If the ending used wasn't shot until November, how/why did they have that song ending up on the radio a few times? |

In part 1, a John Denver song plays many times throughout the film. Then they re-shot the ending of the 1st film, and they have a guy playing a guitar and he's playing the french version of the John Denver song. It's the exact same thing they did in the 1st one.
Basically it's just letting you know that death is near. |
Just got back from this and loved it :up: Better then the original but not the second one. Nice heavy-duty ending as well. Seemed to be a lot more grue in this one (you can't ever have enough brain matter :))

The wife and I saw this on Wednesday. We both liked it quite a bit. It's not going to become my favorite of the series but it's definitely on par with the second one for gory and creative kills.

I liked the idea of the photos but it was very anti-climactic when the death scene came around. It just killed all suspense and the element of surprise in most cases. I thought they could have tied it to the first films better. Just a google search bringing up Flight 180 was a bit lame to tie it in. Wendy looked like she could pass as a relative of Ali Larter(Claire), seemed like a wasted opportunity to me. The death scenes couldn't match the second film, and even some of the first film. There was plenty of gore, but no shock value like the first two films. Too much slight of hand stuff going on. "We've got you looking at our left hand but we're going to hit you with the right." Instead of just giving us death scenes with creativity & shock and a jump moment, they have to put a twist on ALL of them, losing all shock value. They all seemed forced. Lastly, I know the entire film is preposterous, but what fucking teenager is going to know the lyrics to "Love Roller Coaster?" Not one, but two sing along(on a lottery cd choice), and not just the refrain. The use of the song was inspired, but it's implementation could have used some work. All that being said, I don't think I'll be sitting through it again. FD1&2 will sit by themselves on my dvd shelf. |
Hey all,
I loved the first 2 films -- and this one was pretty good as well. However, the beginning was much too teen audience oriented. It seems that they threw scenes and language in just to get the attention of highschool seniors. The valley girl teens in the begining were beyond fake, and extremely annoying. Also, when they were drinking out of their cups in the tanning salon, EVERY single sip had the empty cup "slurp" sound associated with it (needless to say, the cups had plenty of liquid in them). Makes you wonder if the sound people ever think about what they do.... Ok -- overall, it was pretty good. Like I said, i didn't care for the teen movie aspect of the beginning, but that wore off after about 10 minutes.... Later, Matt! |

I just got back from seeing it.
I must say, the roller coaster disaster was nowhere near as cool/graphic of a scene as I was hoping for. I was expecting it to match up to the intensity/gore of the highway accident of the second film, but it really fell flat. I liked the touch of how each picture showed each person's death. The tanning bed deaths were also a bit lame. I think a circuit breaker would have blown before anything like that happened. But hey, we got boobies. :D |
Yea the tanning bed deaths and the events leading up to them were pretty stupid. Since when can a door squeeze all of the lotion out of a closed tube, or wind from a vent knock down a coat hanger? I also felt that the events leading up to the nailgun death were really far fetched, although the death itself was well done. It was almost like watching Hollow Man again when that tractor thing got turned on and started moving all by itself after that goofy, goofy chain of Mouse Trap accidents. The more I think about it, the more dissapointing this film was. I need to watch part 1 or 2 again to put my faith back in the series. If there is a part 4 Wong and Morgan better get their shit together, or better yet just get Ellis and his team of writers back.

I saw this today. Horrible. The deaths were unimaginative and boring. Most of the deaths were based on "Death" pushing things over to hit another object and create a domino effect. First you get the fake out death and then the real one.
It's become like Fridaty the 13t. Nothing new to add, just death after death. |
saw this last Saturday at the King of Prussia IMAX screen and whaaaah! ... Wow, on an IMAX screen this rocked. The rollercoaster scene made the hair on my neck stand straight up. Never thought I'd see a splatter flix on such a huge screen. The movie however, I didn't care for the chick protagonist I kept on hoping her character would get killed off permanently - she was goddamn annoying. The movie also plodded and seemed unnecesarily long.

Will get this on DVD, like I did with the other 2.
|
What's the runtime of this movie? I see it listed as 1:33 and 1:55.
I'll probably go use my free movie cash today. |
115min

I agree with previous posters who were disappointed by the roller coaster scene, I couldn't even tell what was going on. As for the rest of the movie, I liked it a lot. It's not a horror classic, but I loved the imaginative deaths. And that's what it's all about. :)

Just watched the movie. Well, I can definitely say that 1st and 2nd films were MUCH better. 3rd part was just OK. It’s not bad but not great.
