I saw this earlier today (10/19/05) and I enjoyed it very much. It's the first Wallace & Gromit that I've ever seen, but I have heard of them. Also, I've seen Chicken Run (and own it on dvd).

So what else is there to see? They were a tv show at one point?

Our kids loved the movie. My son who usually gets restless in a movie after 15 min sat through the whole thing.

Saw this a few hours ago and LOVED it. I made a vow many years ago - after a particularly noisy matinee screening of Bambi - never to go to another matinee of a "kids' film," but I really wanted to see this movie. Sure, there were crying and loud kids/babies in the audience, but it was worth it.

Hutch is now my second favorite W&G character (behind the penguin, of course). He cracked me up.

And I know it's juvenille and obvious, but the "may contain nuts" sticker on the box that Wallace was wearing really made me laugh.

For me, that joke made a good film great.

Thought this was very good. Lots of little things going on in the background that really make the film. I particularly liked Peter Kay (British comedian) as the policeman - he delivered the funniest line in the film for me, which was simply:

Spoiler:
turning to the organist and saying, "You're mental."

Liked the parallels with King Kong - Nick Park clearly doing a much better job of the remake than Peter Jackson!

Where I thought it was lacking something was in the plot. It was decent enough, but it just didn't draw me in enough to really be rooting for anyone. I didn't care what would happen, I was just watching for the gags.

B+
