Not only is it hillarious, I think it shows how trailers have pretty much become a parody of themselves. Waiting for a movie to start can sometimes get downright tedious as the same cliches repeat over and over. Whoever did this was pure genius, but at the same time showed how creating a "real" paint-by-numbers trailer isn't exactly rocket science.

I loved how it started off with that cliche family-friendly music.

as many of you know, i work in trailers. here's a little industry secret. things like this are made all the time with contemporary movies. but you'll never see them because we could potentially get sued, lose clients, etc, etc. the absolute best one i ever saw was for Hidalgo, under the context of man-horse love.

The problem with the last couple, is that it seems a lot easier to make a regular movie scary, rather than the other way around. Maybe if they made something like Shrek 2 a horror film, now that I'd be impressed with...

the shining thing was the best. the only thing I'd suggest to them is getting a new voice-over guy with a deeper and older sounding voice. This narrator sounded like a college guy.

I think I will recommend this movie to a few folks as a feel warm family film.

When the ask to see the trailer, I will show them this to get them to rent it.

I thought that trailer was one of the funniest things I've seen. They've gotten down the clichés to a T.

Also, check this out... http://modernhumorist.com/mh/0203/moviecliche/

This may have been posted somewhere already. If so, my apologies for bumping this thread up. Here's Star Wars Pulp Fiction.

Here's a re-cut Mary Poppins trailer: http://www.thedisneyblog.com/tdb/200...oppins_re.html

No one will see it because it's in the Horror Forum though.

That's awesome. Actually kinda spooky.

Your comment about the forum is spot on though. It gets very lonely here.
