Bush: The Movie

So I was watching Nixon tonight (hated it) and it made me start to think about the eventual Bush film or miniseries. I'm couldn't think of anyone to play the major roles but I would guess we'll see one in about 5-6 years. Curious to hear people's casting choices.

I think Bruce Greenwood would do a good job; I thought he did a great job as JFK in "Thirteen Days."

Unless this movie is going to be a comedy, it'll bomb. Hell, it may bomb as a comedy!

Nixon was released more than 20 years after his presidency ended, and he was deceased before the movie came out. What makes you think we'll see a Bush movie in 5-6 years? Unless you were asking about Bush Sr., I think it will be a while (although Oliver Stone is talking about doing a 9/11 movie).

Projects being rushed more quickly than before and Hollywood's hatred of Bush.

Im sure Oliver Stone would have fun with it since he hates Bush.

I really dont think it would be interesting.

Now, one about the Clinton presidency would be interesting. Like a sequel to Primary Colors or something.

Team America World Police II. Just use Bush as a vilain instead of Kim Jong-il.

Tim Curry as Bush. And Whoopi Goldberg as Laura. Bjork and Sarah Jessica Parker as the daughters. Ciara as Condoleeza Rice.

I would pick Steve Carrell to play Bush. Just use his character from "Anchorman". He'd be perfect.

How exactly would a Clinton film be more interesting than a Bush film?

Lets see a guy that got a B.J. from a cute chubby girl or a guy who has commited mass genocide, in the wrong country.

Hmm let me think...

Hope that kool-ade tastes good! Looks like many of you are enjoying it! Good!

I'm sure whatever move that will be made, will be completely fair and nonpartisan.

Even accepting this comment at face value, Clinton's misdeeds would translate to film much more easily than Bush's. A film depicting "a guy who has commited mass genocide, in the wrong country" would end up feeling like a reenacted version of Fahrenheit 911.

That would be like Michael Moore making a movie where Hilary Clinton was the villain.

I'm wondering what country would be the right one to commit mass genocide in...
