Holy shit, they made movies before 1995? Why am I just finding out about this now?

Yep, and then Larry, his brother Darryl, and his other brother Darryl shot J.R. |

My favorite was "The Eye of the Beholder". That episode freaked me out as a kid. :)

It had a double twist ending. |
I asked Quentin Tarantino tonight. The guy has a pretty encyclopedic knowledge of films, and his response was, "good question...what've you come up with so far?" I told him "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari," and his response was, "Yeah, I guess that is a twist ending, and probably one of the first." If that man doesn't know, I guess there's no definitive answer to be found.

yeah so the OP is only off by about 75 years......if not more, and that's only if we are talking about movies only.
|
Heck, my all-time favorite ending-with-a-twist is still THE CONVERSATION, and that was what? 1974? I was 3 in '74. That's a fun age. What were we talking about?

There was a director called Hitchcock.
|
Was there ever a movie that used special effects before Revenge of the Sith?

I think we've pretty much guaranteed that the OP won't be starting another thread anytime soon.
