Do you want to have the discussion, or do you just want to take shots at my posts? I'm willing to discuss it, but if you're just going to ignore my points and then edit my posts with snide remarks, then I'm not going to bother.

If someone is new to the forum, and they do something that is against standard policy, then I'm going to point it out so that they don't get jumped on by people who will be less cordial about it. It's called helping and people did it with me when I first joined and it's how I learned.

Even if this topic isn't one that, in your mind, necessarily needs to have the old threads resurrected, it's still an opportunity to teach the new guy to check for old threads before posting a new one. Now, if he gets the urge to post a "Do You think George Lucas had a right to change the original Star Wars movies?" thread, he'll know to look it up first. Had I not said anything, he might not and he'd get dogpiled by most of the members here for starting a new thread on that topic.

My current favorite is Christopher Nolan, it's no contest for me really. I know he's only had a handful of films so far, less than a handful actually, but I look forward to his new films more than anyone elses. I can't wait to see his body of work in twenty years time.

Fair enough, and sorry for dismissing your last post, but I really didn't see anything in it that hadn't already been said. I stand by my stance, but thanks for being cordial when I wasn't.
