Disney & pixar = together again?

Good article over on Jim Hill Media.com regarding talks between the two studios getting back together (maybe) - also some stills and plot points and voice talent info about the upcoming feature "Cars"

Good article. Reveals a bit much about Cars though. Be warned.

As for the talks, like it said, they have been going well as has been mentioned/disussed here.

This will be when Pixar films start to drop off in quality in popularity, just as they rejoin with Disney. That would probably be Disney's luck.

Cars is the first pixar movie that didn't excite me....I'll still see it on the merits of pixar/disney other triumphs.

I hope they stay together. I think they need each other. Disney needs the good storytelling, pixar needs the PR machine and disney name brand.

I agree that it doesn't SEEM too exciting in comparison with other PIXAR greats... but I felt the same way about FINDING NEMO and it has turned out to be my favorite PIXAR flick of all time.

Plus this is John Lasseter's baby, his first turn in the director's chair since Toy Story 2. Lasseter is the closest thing to money in the bank (in terms of quality) that the entire entertainment industry has. That, and also

Reveals the fact this this looks a lot more like a Dreamworks movie than a Pixar movie.

That will never happen unless the actors' names are bigger than the movie title on the one sheet.
