There are many good ones but few stand outs. Those being:

The Brave Little Toaster
Akira (I actually saw this in the mid 90's so I don't know if it counts)
An America Tail
The Land Before Time
Kiki's Delivery Service (I also saw this one much later)
The Chipmunk Adventure
Who Framed Roger Rabbit? (I think it should count)

I'm tempted to list all the Disney movies as well.

For me there was only one T.V. show that I feel merits mention, and it is:

Ducktales.

Dungeons & Dragons is at the very top of the list. I wish a live action theatrical version could be made.

I am hoping that he was wanting the live action version of the television show. One that is about kids in our time being sent to the fantasy world in Dungeons & Dragons. Something with the bow kid, shield kid, cloak girl, uni, etc...

Me too. Now there's the movie that should have had the tagline "Welcome to the Suck".

I was living in Japan in the mid 80's and watched Kaze no Tani no Nausicaa over and over. I didn't watch a lot of animation back then, but that one really got a hold of my heart.

I vividly remember Starblazers. Even today when I think of that show the song plays in my head over and over.

So for me the best ones were Starblazers, and Dungeon and Dragons in terms of TV.
