For those who love this subject I highly, HIGHLY recommend the recent release called Turbo Kid. It somehow captures the entire feel of those old 80's movies without being cheesy or parody.

"Blood of Heroes" should be on that list. It was released in Australia in 1989 (came to the U.S. in February 1990).
