Fincher to shoot two films back-to-back!

Those of us who are fans of director David Fincher had been waiting years for solid news of his next effort. After a few mis-starts along the way (Mission: Impossible 3, Lords of Dogtown) and rumours of him being attached to many more projects, it was finally announced that he would be helming Benjamin Button. While still in pre-production on that film, the rumours started circulating about the possible Zodiac killer film that he was later confirmed to be directing, casting a huge question mark over the fate of the Button project. According to Empire Fincher will be shooting the two films back-to-back! I'm already eagerly awaiting both films!

I'm exciting for the Zodiac Killer film, although its taken from a book called "Zodiac Unmasked", which not to spoil anything for anyone, but current forensic science has proven that book wrong.

The original Zodiac book is so good and ending the movie with the audiance not knowing who the killer is would be pretty suspenseful.

Gee. Thanks for THAT.

This is why we have spoiler spaces. You better hope I forget this by the time the movie comes out.

I LOVE FINCHER.

They should end the movie with this line:

LEAD DETECTIVE: I couldn't possible solve this mystery...

(turns to audience)

Can YOU?

I've read 2 scenes from the Zodiac script, 2 murder scenes, that are being used as casting sides and I think this could be great. Some of the best script I have read and with Fincher, that just boosts the excellent writing to another level.

Maybe I'm sterotyping but Benjamin Button seems very un-Fincher

Well, great to hear! Though, until he actually has something made, I won't get my hopes up too high.

Good to hear! Were you there for an audition? Were the scenes written from the perspective of the investigators or the killer/victim?

Oh, and according to Variety, Gary Oldman has joined the cast of Zodiac. Surprising decision considering their personal connections but a great choice.

His ex-wife was apparently married to Oldman.

EDIT: Damn, I sound like a stalker or something!

Ah, I did not know that. I wasn't sure if you meant Oldman had a connection with Fincher or with the Zodiac killings.
