Michelle Pfeiffer

Really sad to see great actresses tossed aside by Hollywood when they get too old.

Michelle has only had 5 roles since 2000 and one of them was a voice only!

Perhaps she tossed herself aside? It's not like she has to work everyday like the rest of us.

Maybe it's because she was never that great of an actress. Her only two big roles were in Scarface and Batman Returns. And honestly any blonde woman could have played her role in Scarface.

And in the 90s she seemed to be concerned with making shitty Romantic movies like To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday.

The Age of Innocence, White Oleander, I think she's done a few good roles.

Wrong. Dead wrong.

I don't think any of the following would be considered anything less than "big roles":

LADYHAWKE
MARRIED TO THE MOB
WOLF
THE FABULOUS BAKER BOYS
THE WITCHES OF EASTWICK

.... and those are just the ones that immediately come to mind.

Still waiting for the "Into the Night" dvd which features her walking around nude. Whatever became of this movie? Haven't seen it in ages.

I believe this is more likely. A few years ago I read an interview where she said she wanted to take a break from film and spend time with her kids. This was right before White Oleander came out. It's the same thing with Jodie Foster, who took a three year hiatus, but is back with two new films: Flightplan and the Spike Lee film with Denzel & Clive Owen.

Glad I'm not "average" then. What a hack - in every facet.

I think Michelle is a very good actress and I have enjoyed many of her movies. But I'll always remember her for her performances in Ladyhawke, Scarface, and Batman Returns. I'd much rather watch Pfeiffer than Lohan anyday.

Yeah, that's what i'm thinking.

Either that, or she's waiting for Grease 3.

No love for What Lies Beneath? That's my favorite film of hers.

I'm also a sucker for One Fine Day and Up Close and Personal.

No, especially when you see that some actors in their 20s have done more movies in their careers than Warren Beatty has done in his entire career. It's about quality, not quantity (Affleck).

She was also great in that animated Sinbad.

Before I saw the movie I thought the roles shoulda been switched between Catherine Zeeta Jones and Pfieffer but once I saw the movie I thought they were cast just right. I mean Pfieffer's voice, much like Jone's but in a different way, is so seductive and powerful. She was also great in WOLF.
