Possibly Jeff Goldblum.
and if the time ever comes, let the rock play Killer Croc

Maybe not a bad role for Jacquin Phoenix?

Sean Penn - another potential to add to the list.

wow that fan poster is great. I picture the joker being way less over the top than in the Burton film. Little to no white face makeup and maybe just a slight tint of green in the hair. He'd still have to have that creepy grin though. Also, hopefully he will only have "a taste for theatrics" (or whatever Gordon's line was). I don't want to see his henchmen wearing jackets with a joker logo on them this time

John Leguizamo.

Guy's got a smile as wide as a mile and can be surreal and creepy. Cross his Tybalt with his Toulouse-Lautrec.

Yeah, I just picked an actor at random and rationalized the decision. It's fun!
Oh, and click the link below. I made it up as I wrote it.
Dreadful fan-fiction time; How I'd incorporate "The Killing Joke" into Batman 2, using Harvey Dent instead of Commisioner Gordon

Crispen Glover is an inspired choice. Great idea. If they want the Joker dark, he is right for the role.
If they want him scary and campy at the same time, Quentin Tarantino is a great idea. His demeanor, attitude and presence reeks of the Joker.
But the best suggestion yet goes to Kumar... Hugo Weaving. I can totally see him in the role.
What's with all the Brody love? He's been in, what? 3 films. He doesn't exactly look like a hardened criminal. With that pretty face, he'd be getting it from behind in Arkham Asylym not giving the orders.
As for other nods, Patrick Stewart is a good idea for Freeze. Angelina Jolie (from the other thread) is a KILLER idea for a new Catwoman.

Besides, how could you not know who Catwoman was when her famous dsl isn't hidden by a mask.

For a younger looking Catwoman, how about Shannon Elizabeth? She probably doesn't have the acting chops to fit in with the current cast, ala Katie Holmes, but she would make a damn fine Catwoman as seen below(right):

When I saw this thread Adrian Brody was the first name I thought of. Shockingly enough, everybody else thought of him, too.
Great call on Pearce for Two-face, he'd be perfect.

she just has a nice body. since she can't act for shit, she should stick to modeling or something. seriously, any aerobics instructor would look great in a cat suit. she could be a stunt-double for someone who can act/pull off the role.
