I got this the night before last at Wally World. I think I watched about half of the movie when I turned it off. I am going to TRY to finish it this weekend.

Avoid this movie boys and girls!! I have seen many a suck ass movie over the years but this one takes the cake!!

I give the movie a little credit in that it is pretty faithful to the original source material. But that is where the credit stops!!

This movie contains:

Bad acting.
Horrid special effects.
Poor direction
Piss poor editing

I remember the old Doctor Who episodes looking much better than this movie!!

The upside is if you are a huge fan of War of the Worlds and can't resist this steaming pile of crap then you are not going to be out a whole lot of money! It cost me Eight dollars and change.

When I finish watching this craptacular masterpiece it is going directly to my "get rid of" pile!!

Take care all!!

Yeah, you should have watched the trailer first. Groucho got it right: it was horrendous.

Dmacsg1 and Breakfast with Girls are agents of Paramount!

Well, no, not really.

This really does look bad. It's tough to pull off a period movie or big special effects when you have no budget. Doing both in the same movie was just begging for disaster.

I like ID4, & i was quite aware that it was "inspired" by "War of the Worlds".

That being said, i really wish the new movie had been set in the past instead of the present day because now all i'm gonna do is draw parallels to ID4...since that was technically a modern day "remake".

Hmmmm....perhaps ID4 was made to "ruin" the good name of the Cruise/Speilberg movie.....8 years before it was ever released!!
