Although it wasn't #1, ROTS still did impressivly coming that close to #1 in its third week after such a huge opening. Most movies would have fallen off hard after such a big first weekend. Fanboys are obviously going back to see it a 3rd, 4th or 5th time.

At this point I see ROTS may have a hard time topping SM2 or ROTK.

Agreed. And with AOTC's adjusted gross of 342mill, it will only have marginally outperformed that one.
