I liked it more than I thought I would. The movie never bored me, and I agree with Dabaomb, it was good mindless fun. BTW, I went to McDonald's for a cheeseburger after the movie.

I can't believe so many of you enjoyed this movie. It was mainstream, generic CRAP. All of you need to go watch happy gilmore and see how a real sandler flick is supposed to be.

Sandler, the time has come for you to make a good movie again. Perhaps a sequel to gilmore to please your fans. Overall rating: 1 star out of 4
1) You are referring to the script, not the acting; and
2) IT IS A REMAKE

2. I don't care if its a remake, bad comedy is bad comedy and incoherency is incoherency.

I thought the acting, script and comedy of the movie worked. Such it isn't the same goofball comedy people expect from Sandler, but he wasn't trying to come off as an idiot in this one. Who wants to see Billy Madison in the movie? He was acting with respect to what Burt did in the original.

I'm buying Longest Yard. It's that much better and a goodmovie overall.

Wow - that was mediocre at best. My dad thought that was funny as shit, I thought it was somewhat funny here and there. ** out of *****.

you are entitled to your opinion and I'm entitled to mine. Ep III is not a far superior film, just one that everyone has been waiting for. It may be far superior as compared to Ep I and II. So you didn't like the Longest Yard. That doesn't make my opinion wrong. And agreeing with the critics? They blast most of the popular movies and support artsy-fartsy movies. Who want to agree with them?

i saw this today and thought it was so so. i didn't mind the acting or the story that much but a couple of things bothered me. it would've been much funnier if they hadn't have put most of the funny one liners into the trailer. also, jim rome was even more annoying than usual and he was only in it for about 30 secs. and then the whole espn thing bothered me too. as for the good, the previously mentioned courtney cox's boobies were nice. motherhood definitely agrees with her.

Saw it yesterday (only because I had the coupon from the DVD) and honestly felt it was fine. Its not the original (and didn't try to be IMO) and it gave some laughs where need (albeit a few were forced).
With that said I DEFINITELY would not have paid $$ to see it.
