Since you Luke & Leia were twins

Was the force split between them? I mean Luke doesn't seem as powerful as Anakin or Obi-Wan was.

Luck did not have all the training that the other Jedi's had, his powers were still growing.

You get a lot better when you start your Jedi training as a "youngling", train forever, go to the trials, etc. Luke had what, training on the Y2K Falcon with Obi Wan while killing time on the way to Alderaan in Ep. IV, and what, summer camp with Yoda (twice I guess)?

My question relates to Vader. Since he isn't aware of Leia being Luke's twin until Jedi during the Battle of Endor, when he "senses" her from Luke...

Did he know Luke was his son for a fact (and how did I know, did I miss something?), or did he "sense" that as well?

Proper Jedi started out when they were kids and were trained right up through their teens. Luke at best had a couple of days of proper training and had to figure the rest out on his own. He must be pretty damn powerful to have done as well as he did.

yeah, when QuiGonJinn brought Anakin to see Yoda for the first time, Yoda said that Anakin was already too old and he was like 5 or 6 years old back then.

I guess it kind of depends on what kind of twins they're considered. One egg splitting into two or two separated fertilized eggs?

they cannot be from one egg, they are not identical twins. Leia has more of her mother in her, while Luke more of his father.

Padme, while no Jedi, was also pretty strong with the Force, though.

I swear people just use "the force" as a crutch to explain away plotholes and inconsistencies. It's just Lucas wanting it both ways.

She hid her true self from both Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan, who should have sensed her deception. She was able to survive an invasion of her planet, got the upper hand on the monsters that were going to kill her on Geonosis, and was able to look beautiful while both giving birth and dying. That's no mean feat.

Surely the force is strong with this one.

Qui-Gon knew it was her, and just went along with the ruse. He kept taunting her with that "the queen approves" business. That was mentioned in the commentary of TPM.

I mean, cmon. Han Solo was able to sneak up on Vader. Did he use the force to do that too?

Well, the last name SKYWALKER could have been a dead giveaway, or the fact that Vader's halfbrother raised Luke...

In that galaxy, Skywalker is as common a last name as Smith or Nguyen.

my wife made an excellent point. Luke should be really pissed at the whole situation. Leia got to be raised on Alderan as a princess. Luke was raised in a desert as a farm hand. He got the crap end of the deal. I would wine all the time too.

BTW who's to say that Vader knew he even had a son until the destruction of the Death Star. After all he was told that Padme died, so its safe to assume he may have believed his child suffered the same fate.

Pretty sure Luke got the better end of the deal in the end...

If your wife died while very pregnant, wouldn't you question the fate of the unborn? I don't think this is a good assumption at all.

Yeah, I noticed that she looks very much pregnant in her funeral scene. Word may have gotten around the galaxy that she died before the kid was born.

Then when you look into her funeral records and you see that she is still very big in the stomach you jump to the assumption that she died with the childern. So it's an assumption that can be made very easily.

In fact, Luke got his claim to fame from destroying the death star. When Vader had men looking into figuring out the name of the rebel who destroyed the death star. When he did get the answer and learned their name was skywalker, he killed those who were involved and wanted to keep it a secret from Palp.

Vader then proceeds to murder everyone present (he doesn't want word of the pilot's identity to reach the Emperor, even going as far to lie to Palpatine about his progress in discovering the pilot's identity, hence the feigned ignorance during the revised ESB scene - "how is that possible?"). The bird guy runs to an aviary, screaming about how he'd forget he ever heard the name "Skywalker". When he says it, the birds start chanting the name like parrots, after which Vader just burns the entire building down.

they definitly made up her stomach to look pregnant, to give the impression that the baby didnt make it.

in her death scene, her stomach was pretty flat.. in the funeral, it was back to round..

He wasn't a half brother, he was his step brother.
