Yes they did write the script for PotC, and yes they are writing the sequel to Zorro. See their site:

Wait a second - Anthony Hopkins?!? But he's dead! Unless he shows up in a Obi-Wan capacity, what the hell is he going to do?

Aside from that - I cant wait. I loved the first one and I'm a swashbuckler junkie at heart. If it's half as good as Mask, I'll be all over this like white on rice.

It's about damn time. I just hope the long gap between films doesn't result in some soulless crapfest where everyone's in it for the paycheck(Men in Black II anyone?). And please, get someone besides James Horner to score this one. It's not that the music was bad in the first film, but it kept reminding me of Cocoon the entire time.

Geeze, they want him in a flashback capacity. You'd think that Hopkins pooped in your Ovaltine, the way some people are reacting!

KID: "Mom... did we get Ovaltine, chunky-style?"

HOPKINS: *maniacal laughter*

Will he be dressed in plumb and be rather handy with a whip?

I enjoyed the first movie and I echo the sentiment that this sequel looks even better. Please don't let me be wrong.

Think it looks good. The first was a damn fun swashbuckler. Hopefully the movie doesn't suffer from little kid Mummy Returns syndrome though.

By the way, the release date has been changed a few times from that September 23rd date. It's now slated for an October 28th bow. I'm fairly sure that yahoo page is wrong and is just listing the old release date unless they've switched back.

Looks great. I second the comment about little kid syndrome though.
